I just wanted to replace what was there - but I didn't know the model #, so I threw the dice and ordered these. Well - the new ones weighed about 3 times what the old ones did - and felt much more solid and substantial. I just swapped them out, using my existing crossover, and was really really pleased with the sound. Wish I'd've replaced them years ago. Almost feel like I got a new system...

The BA tweeters weren't holding their own (you can barely hear them past the front seat), so I expanded the system by installing this MB Quart PTK-40 set in the middle of the van.
Overall, I am very disappointed with these tweeters. They do not have that hi-fi audio sound I was looking for, and certainly would not please an audiophile. I fact, when I compared them side by side with other speakers in the van, the sound quality of this MB set didn't even match the BA set and definitely didn't come close to matching the clarity of the JL Audio C2-650s in the rear.
Since they are both German, I was hoping that MB Quart would match JL's live, rich, crystal clear sound, but these MB tweeters don't even come close. I paid the same (~$85) for a pair of JL Audio VR075-CT tweeters in my car, and those JL tweeters blow these MB Quarts away in... Read more
