5.0 out of 5 stars Great Amp. Highly Recommended, May 6, 2011

I was hesitant to buy this amp when a friend told me not to waste my money on junk but boy was he wrong, this thing puts out more clean sound than his "top of the line $400 big money amp". We hooked this bad boy up to one 10" Pyle PL1090BL 1000 watt DVC sub(wired parallel @ 2ohms), turned it on and our chins dropped(gain was barely up). This amp puts out some sound and after several hours of some pretty harsh abuse it was just barely warm and ready for more. This amp is a hungry workhorse, so I'm planning on ordering another 10" sub and running it at 1 ohm. To be honest I wasn't expecting the results I got but WOW am I pleasantly surprised.

The remote level control is a great feature too especially if you have kids(or if you see the popo.) Please people, don't blow your kids ear drums out. ;-)

Im going to compare this amp to the one it replaced. My kicker 750.1 class d monoblock amplifier which was very comprable to this one in power but very different in sound.

These comparisons are relitive to the other amp on a 15 inch alpine type r in a ported box

-This amp $130
-2700 watt peak 1200 rms (advertised)
-Much higher pitched and extremely acurate sounds. sounds much more natural. If it is turned up i can really feel the vibration n my throat. It was described as sounding like more rich white kid sound than the kicker.
-noisy cooling system fan..
-the power input barley fits my 4 guage wire
-Tuns of knobs to change the sound and what not. Can make it sound like high pitched crap to wonderfull.
-good on hip hop, great on techno and sinth, amazing on rock.

-The kicker cost me $499 years agg. they are about 350 now
-2500 watt peak 800 rms (advertised) but it was more like 1000 watt rms
-Deep and slow... Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars power OFF problem and noise, March 25, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: SSL F2600D FORCE 2600W Class D Monoblock Amplifier with Remote Subwoofer Level Control (Electronics)
12V and remote power cannot be disconnected or OFF power at the same time. This will make the subwoofer high volume "bom bom" two sounds. This will not affect Car users due to 12V always ON, but this kind of problem does not happened on Power Acoustik CPT1-2000 Mono Block 2000 Watt Amp.
As the same as iPhone, SSL F2600D is made of China but designed by US. I connect 12V DC into power and remote connection. It works. If this F2600D connected to home used AV AMP , it is strange to have "dee dee" big noise. It is not small noise, but big and cannot accepted. It seems to be ground noise. However, I cannot find the source yet. It may due to antenna connected to the AV AMP. I had disconnected the ground of 12V power supply which give power to F2600D , but problem still. After swapped the F2600D with Marantz 2 channels integrated amp, there is no "dee dee" big noise. Everything works ok. Still checking what is going on.
